What is the word limit for UPSC answer writing?
UPSC Mains GS papers have two main answer types: 10-mark questions (150
words) and 15-mark questions (250 words). The Essay paper requires
writing two essays of approximately 1000–1200 words each. There is also a GS

130 words per minute, appropriate for a clear, standard-paced speech or
presentation. These are guidelines — individual reading speeds vary from 150 to 400+ words per
minute based on comprehension level and familiarity with the topic.
Can I use this word counter for SSC exam preparation?
