When filling out online forms for government exams, bank accounts, or job applications, your
signature image often needs to meet strict file size requirements — typically between 10KB
and 50KB. Getting this wrong means your application will be rejected. This tool resizes
your signature to any target KB instantly without uploading anything to a server.
Signature images are usually long-horizontal (landscape) photographs or scans of your handwritten
signature on white paper. The most common problem applicants face is that the scanned signature is
too large (several MB) and needs to be brought down to 10–20KB for SSC or
20KB for UPSC. This tool uses a smart compression algorithm that reduces file size
without making the signature blurry or unreadable.
For best results, sign on white paper using a black or dark blue pen, then
photograph it in good lighting or scan it at 200 DPI. Crop the image so only the signature area is
visible (removing excess white space reduces file size significantly). Then upload it here and
select your target KB.
The tool is completely private — no image is ever sent to any server. Everything
runs in your browser using JavaScript Canvas API, so you can safely use it with your personal
signature. It works on desktop and mobile equally well.
Common requirements: SSC exams — signature between 4KB–20KB, JPEG format, dimensions
4.0×2.0cm. UPSC OTR — signature max 20KB, JPEG, 350×150 pixels. IBPS / SBI
bank exams — signature 10–50KB. Railway RRB exams — signature 20KB
max. Bank account openings — varies but typically 50KB max JPEG.
